Help Wanted: Suggest a Book Club Pick for October

Now that it’s officially October (when did that happen?) and our September book is finis, I thought it would be a good time to take suggestions for the next book. I’ll add all of your suggestions* to a poll that you guys can vote on. The book that gets the most votes will be our October read.

First off, if you didn’t play along in September, this is what went on at our book club:

Things just, um, got a little out of hand. But for October we’re serving only coffee and tea—no moonshine this time.

Aaaaaanyways...

To get you started, here are some recently released novels you might want to consider for our October book. (Click the names to read a blurb on Goodreads.)

And those are just some of them. Not that we have to read a newly released book. So think about what you’ve been meaning to read and make a suggestion.

Your duty, to answer in the comments: What should we read for Fall Book Club in October?

*That’s a little fib. The poll only accepts ten or eleven items. I’ll pick those with the most suggestions here if it comes down to it.
**Remember when I mentioned wanting to read a book where the protagonist is blind? Well, Yahong Chi recommended this middle grade novel and said it was fantastic.
