Some years ago, Jessica Love, Alison Miller, Katy Upperman, and I had this brilliant idea for a reality show in which children had to fight
to the death for jump-in-line tickets at Disney, but then the Hunger Games got big. So then we had
this idea for…
Well, look, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that
after many, many failed ideas, three of which involved honey, we came up with the
YA Superlatives Blogfest. And it stuck.
Ha.
It’s back again this year. The Class of 2014 YA Superlative
Blogfest includes more than 40
categories and a bunch of really cool book nerds.
Here’s the deal, in bullet form for easy skimming:
- Each themed day features a list of superlatives you will fill out with your book of choice.
- You don’t have to fill out every single category. (Didn’t ready a dystopian YA book this year? It’s okay to leave that off.)
- You don’t have to participate every day.
- You can post your favorites to your blog, or just Instagram pics of your picks each day!
At the end of the blogfest we’ll be hosting a giveaway,
featuring some of our favorite 2014 books. (You do need to participate each day to be eligible for that.) Mark your calendars for December 15
through 18, then take a look at the categories featured each day.
